COMMUNITY FOCUS FOR ICERAYS HOME WEEKEND

Dec 9, 2015

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Corpus Christi IceRays return home to the American Bank Center this Friday and Saturday night at 7:11 p.m. for a two-game weekend set against the Amarillo Bulls. The home series is the first at home in December and begins back-to-back weekends against the Bulls heading into the holiday break.

Friday evening is the first of two Grades For Blades Nights, presented by 7-Eleven, during the 2015-16 season. The IceRays have teamed up with 7-Eleven to help provide rewards for local elementary school students that exemplify one of the following (but not limited to): high performance in the classroom, strong leadership skills within their communities, or a positive impact in the school. These students received tickets this week from their school administrators and education staff. Friday is another Frosty Friday, and fans can enjoy one-dollar beer and soda selections throughout the course of the game.

The following night focuses on the officials in the community with City/County Night, presented by Citgo. As a way of giving thanks for the men and women that help legislate and run the city of Corpus Christi and Nueces County, the IceRays and Citgo are providing free tickets to the evening’s game. In addition, Citgo is giving away free koozies to the first 500 fans that enter the American Bank Center. Plus, the game is also a Corpus Christi Caller-Times Family 4-Pack Night. Fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for just $46.

This weekend will stretch the 12-game season series between the IceRays and Bulls to the midway point in the second home series of the season. The last time the Bulls entered the American Bank Center, the IceRays earned their first sweep of the season in the home opener on October 2 & 3, however the Bulls evened the series at 2-1-1 with a home sweep of their own two weeks later. With four points separating the IceRays from a playoff spot, this two-weekend split with Amarillo comes at a crucial point and could provide the IceRays with playoff positioning heading into the holiday break. Doors open at 6:11 p.m. on both nights, and tickets are available at www.Ticketmaster.com, the American Bank Center Box Office or by calling 361-814-PUCK.
