Dec 1, 2014

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Corpus Christi IceRays return to the American Bank Center this Wednesday, December 3 against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees to host their first Holiday Hope Drive, benefitting Corpus Christi Metro Ministries. The mid-week contest sets up the start of three games in four days concluding with a road trip against the Wichita Falls Wildcats this weekend.

Fans can bring items to donate to the American Bank Center the night of the game for the Holiday Hope Drive, and in exchange they will be able to purchase a $5 general admission ticket thanks to the IceRays. Items can range from client needs like warm clothes of all sizes, hygiene items, pillows and bedding, infant care, and supermarket gift cards to extra amenities such as passenger vans, pickup trucks, new air conditioning units, nurses, doctors, volunteers, and ambassadors. All donations brought to the game by patrons and community members will be presented to Corpus Christi Metro Ministries during Wednesday’s game. Those that have already purchased tickets may also bring items to donate, however they will not be able to receive a refund on the price difference.

After dropping last weekend’s games from State Farm Arena, the IceRays now trail 1-2-0 in the season series against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in the second season of the South Texas Vo Tech Cup.
