American Bank Center – Corpus Christi, TX
FRIDAY, JANUARY 4, 2013 – 7:05 PM
Referee:Anthony Falette Linesmen:Ian McCambridge & Eli Rivera
TONIGHT’S GAME …The IceRays host the Odessa Jackalopes for the first time all season since Odessa slid into the NAHL Playoffs last season in front of Corpus Christi during the final month of regular season play. For the Jackalopes this year, the struggles have been ongoing to both score goals and keep goals out of the net. The lone bright spot for the Jacks’ is the play of Lawrence Cornellier who leads the squad with 16 goals and 29 assists through 32 games played. Odessa also added stronger goaltending between the pipes adding Nick Deery who has a 3.67 GAA and a save percentage of .924% through four games. As for the IceRays, they look ahead to returning home after the sweep they took at the hands of the Texas Tornado. The top line of Sulmonte, Romig, and D’Arrisso has been spot on for Corpus Christi and needs to stay that way this half of the season. The IceRays and Wildcats play Odessa ten times each through the rest of the season which should provide some interesting drama down the homestretch.
THE SERIES…Tonight’s game is the third meeting between the IceRays and Jackalopes this season.
– Season series: IceRays leads 2-0
NINE OF ELEVEN… AJ Jarosz has recorded a point in nine of the last eleven games… In that time, the 2nd year IceRay picked up 11pts total.

COPLEY GETS MVP… Former IceRays goaltender Pheonix Copley recorded two shutouts over the weekend as Michigan Tech captured the Great Lakes Invitational, and earned tournament MVP.
