THIS MORNING’S GAME … It is a quick turnaround from last night, to this morning when the IceRays gave Amarillo their second straight loss in regulation with a 4-1 loss. Emil Romig recorded a hat-trick whole Hayden Stewart was near perfect in net putting aside 50 of 51 shots he faced. The lone Bulls offense came from Matt Sieckhaus in the second period. To finish the second, Corpus Christi killed most of a 5-on-3 penalty off. This morning, the Rays’ seek their first sweep over the Bulls after pulling away from Wichita Falls last night.

ROMIG ROCKIN’… IceRays forward Emil Romig scored one goal in the second period and added two in the third including a short-handed tally, along with an empty netter en route to a hat-trick.
RARE LOSING STREAK… Corpus Christi handed Amarillo a rare losing streak last night. It is the first time all year the Bulls have lost two straight in regulation.
KEY INJURIES… The IceRays remain without Perry D’Arrisso and Trevor Heuser for tonight’s game.
SHAPING UP… The South Division playoffs have already been decided with the exception of 4th place. Amarillo, Topeka, and Texas all have earned playoff berths while Corpus Christi and Wichita Falls are seeking the final spot in the divisional round.
PLAYOFF RACE… Corpus Christi is now 7pts in front of 5th place Wichita Falls for the final playoff spot in the South Division.
