CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Corpus Christi IceRays close a four-week home stand at the American Bank Center this Friday and Saturday against the Wichita Falls Wildcats as they continue to edge closer to a playoff berth.
Friday night kicks off the weekend with a large group night at the arena and multiple entities taking in one of the few remaining IceRays home games. The Catholic Diocese, Chevron, Wencar, and more will be in attendance with large contingents of employees, friends and family to begin March. In addition, it’s a Tride Rideshare Frosty Friday with $1 beer and soda offered throughout the game as well as $5 off your fare when using promo code “icerays” on the Tride Passenger app. Plus, there will be an IceRays Post-Game Skate, presented by Braselton Homes.
Saturday night finishes the home stand with a Corpus Christi Caller-Times Family 4-Pack Night. Fans that purchase four tickets at the American Bank Center Box Office will also receive vouchers for four hot dogs and four sodas for just $48. This offer is only available through the arena box office. There will be another IceRays Post-Game Skate, presented by Braselton Homes, following the game.
The IceRays finished February with their best record in junior franchise history, going 7-0-1-0 including 5-0-1-0 throughout the current home stand. The team has never earned points in every game during an elongated home stand since becoming a junior franchise in 2010-11. However, the Wildcats have won each of the last four meetings with the IceRays this season including two wins in their last games on December 3-4. Currently, the IceRays sit two points behind the Wildcats for second place and need 14 points either won by the IceRays or lost by the Odessa Jackalopes to clinch their third playoff berth in junior franchise history.
