CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi IceRays are pleased to announce they have hired Rob Lippolis as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations.

The 22 year old recently graduated from SUNY Oswego in Upstate New York with a degree in Broadcasting & Mass Communications.

“This is a great city and a great organization with a bright future and to be a part of all this is unbelievable,” said Lippolis.  “Their reputation around the league is one of extreme professionalism”.

While at college, Lippolis broadcasted Division III ice hockey for the nationally ranked the Oswego State Lakers and co-hosted a sports talk radio show.  In addition, Rob was selected to broadcast both the 2010 and 2011 Division III Frozen Four’s. He also served as a Broadcasting/Media Relations intern for the Binghamton Senators (AHL) from 2006-2011 where he called select games on the radio.

“We are happy to have Rob join our staff,” said Pat Dunn, General Manager of the IceRays.  “We hope the IceRays fans enjoy listening to him.  I’m sure Rob will do very well and we want to welcome him to Corpus Christi.”

Lippolis will broadcast games on ESPN Radio 1440AM.  In addition to the live game broadcasts, ESPN Radio 1440AM will also broadcast a live one-hour long IceRays Coach’s Show each week at a time and site to be determined.
