ICERAYS LOOK TO PACK THE HOUSE IN FINAL HOME WEEKEND

Mar 25, 2015

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Corpus Christi IceRays close out their final weekend of the 2014-15 regular season this Friday and Saturday as they host the Amarillo Bulls at the American Bank Center. Friday kicks off at 7:05 p.m. but Saturday will be a delayed start at 8:05 p.m. with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. to accommodate for the Skills USA Texas Leadership and Skills Conference.

“Pack the house for charity weekend has always been a fun couple of days for our fans and more importantly our players,” said IceRays general manager Pat Dunn. “It’s a sign of the season being over soon and the last preparation for the playoffs. It’s also a chance for the organization to give out some money to different local charities and for our players to play in front of huge crowds. All this combined makes it a recipe for a great weekend. It’s also sweeter when you go into that weekend having already clinched a playoff spot.”

The IceRays open the weekend on Friday night with Teen Night, presented by Whataburger. The IceRays have invited a variety of local schools to join the crowd at the arena as well as the members of the Skills USA Texas Leadership and Skills Conference that will be at the American Bank Center this weekend. The IceRays will debut on the ice their annual Harley Davidson theme jerseys that will be worn during both games this weekend. The game is also a Frosty Friday with $1 beer and sodas throughout the night.

Saturday night marks the annual Pack The House For Charity game, presented by Kiewit and the Port of Corpus Christi. The IceRays welcome back all the beneficiaries and charities that have worked with the team over the course of the 2014-15 season to not only thank them for being part of the IceRays experience but also present donations raised for the various causes. The first 500 fans attending the game will receive rally towels, courtesy of H-E-B, and thunder sticks also will be available, courtesy of Corpus Christi Solid Waste. The Harley Davidson theme jerseys will be auctioned to the public post-game in the Harley Davidson Post-Game Jersey Auction, presented by Eddie Jackson of New York Life. Saturday is also a Corpus Christi Caller-Times Family 4-Pack Night, with packages including four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for just $46.

Tickets for both nights are available at www.Ticketmaster.com, any Ticketmaster location, or the American Bank Center Box Office. Broadcast coverage begins at 6:50 p.m. on Friday and approximately 7:50 p.m. on Saturday on SportsJuice.com, FASTHockey.com, and 87.7FM in-arena.
