Having partnered with Whataburger to present a public skating event on Tuesday, February 6th, the IceRays raised $750 to help the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend.

The check presentation was made at the game on Friday February 9th, when the IceRays took on the Lone Star Brahmas. Members of both Whataburger and the Boys and Girls Clubs supported the IceRays at the game, and the crowd marked the fifth largest of the season with over 3,200 total in attendance. They cheered on the IceRays to a 3-0 victory over the defending champions.

“We were glad to work with Whataburger and we will continue to help out local non-profit organizations like the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend,” IceRays Vice President Scott McClarren said.

The IceRays return to the American Bank Center on Friday, February 16th to host the Topeka RoadRunners at 7:05 pm. The Friday night game is a Frosty Friday; pints and small sodas will be sold throughout the night for $3 each. Saturday night is Hockey & Heels Night presented by Christy Estates. A silent auction will be held during the game with proceeds benefiting the Purple Door, formerly known as the Women’s Shelter of South Texas. Saturday is also a Family Four-Pack night; four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas are sold for $48. Both games will be broadcast on HockeyTV.com and on YouTube.
