ICERAYS SHUTOUT 2-0

WICHITA FALLS, TX – The Corpus Christi IceRays lost their third straight game in Wichita Falls as they were shutout Saturday night 2-0 inside Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls, Texas.

There was no scoring in the first period of play.  Both teams went back and forth as the IceRays were outshot 17-9 in the first.  Corpus Christi was stopped on a two-on-one as Danny Fetzer was denied by goaltender Matt Leon.

The Wildcats broke the scoreless game 16:42 into the second period on a delayed penalty.  Bradley Shumway took a pass from Nathan Chasteen in front of the net and slid it past Chris Komma to give Wichita Falls a 1-0 lead. 

The IceRays had several chances in the third period; however, Wichita Falls increased their lead 2-0 as Chasteen scored the insurance goal for the Wildcats late in regulation.

Chris Komma put aside 31 of 33 shots in the loss. 

Corpus Christi has now lost three straight games, all to Wichita Falls.
