This morning the Corpus Christi IceRays were at Meadowbrook Elementary school in Corpus Christi where Captain Ben Hughes presented Principal LaTricia Johnson with a check for $350.00 on behalf of Grande Communications and the Corpus Christi IceRays.
Meadowbrook was one of two schools who were selected as a winner of Grande Communications "GRADES FOR BLADES" program as they were extremely loud at the American Bank Center on GRADES FOR BLADES night recently.
$200.00 of the check is from donated box tops while the IceRays presented the school with a check for $150.00 cash.
The Grades for Blades program recognizes students around the coastal bend who have excelled both in and out of the classroom.
