MEET HEAD COACH BRAD FLYNN TUESDAY NIGHT

Aug 1, 2016

Meet the new IceRays Head Coach, Brad Flynn, on Tuesday, Aug. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Rita’s Italian Ice on Alameda Street. The event is open to the public and is a chance to meet with the next leader of the IceRays following 2016 Main Camp and right before the start of the season.

Flynn and members of the IceRays staff will be hanging out at Rita’s Italian Ice starting at 6:30 p.m. to help introduce the team’s new head coach to the fan base while cooling off from the summer heat. It’s your chance to catch up with the former assistant coach and pick his brain about the upcoming 2016-17 IceRays team before his first season at the helm. Purchase any of Rita’s multiple offerings and be automatically entered into a raffle for an IceRays Gold Section Family 4-Pack of tickets good for any of the 28 home games in the 2016-17 season. A portion of the evening’s proceeds from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. benefit the Women’s Shelter of South Texas.

Rita’s Italian Ice began in 1984 as a way for a former firefighter to bring refreshment (also referred to as water ice) to residents Bensalem, Penn. Today, Rita’s Italian Ice has over 600 locations across the United States including nine in the state of Texas: five in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area, three in the greater Houston area, and one in Corpus Christi. While the staple of Rita’s is the italian ice (a smoother snow cone made with real fruit), they also specialize in custards, cream ice (a focus on the “cream” in ice cream), sundaes, milkshakes, frozen cakes, frozen cookies, and more.
