The power-play struck again for the Bulls 12:04 into the first period as Mike Erickson snuck a puck top shelf past Anthony Stolarz to take a 2-0 lead.

With just under a minute to go in the first period Corpus Christi fell behind 3-0 as Greg Gibson scored on the short-side top shelf for his third goal of the year.

Anthony Stolarz stopped 27 of 30 in the loss.
