PINK IN THE RINK WEEKEND ON THURSDAY & SATURDAY

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Corpus Christi IceRays bring pink to the American Bank Center on Thursday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct. 24 in their 8th annual Pink In The Rink game, which supports breast cancer awareness and research. The weekend is also the first of two home weekends against the Topeka RoadRunners.

The IceRays will play two games in three days starting on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. The first game is a Winning Weekday game, which means all tickets are buy one, get one free only at the American Bank Center Box Office. This ticket promotion is not available through Ticketmaster or the IceRays Front Office. Visit the American Bank Center Box Office and mention Winning Weekdays to receive your free ticket. Winning Weekdays is available on all IceRays games Monday through Thursday in the 2015-16 season.

Saturday is the 8th annual Pink In The Rink game, presented by AutoNation, Drive Pink, Radiology & Imaging, and South Texas Surgical Hospital. The event, which started in the 2008-09 season with the leadership of General Manager Pat Dunn and local politician Brent Chesney, hopes to raise funds and awareness toward breast cancer and general cancer research. The IceRays will wear pink-themed jerseys on both Thursday and Saturday, and the jerseys are available for bidding at the Eddie Jackson Post-Game Jersey Auction following Saturday’s game. In addition, the IceRays will also hold a silent auction during the game with various items donated by local businesses and members of the IceRays community. Proceeds from the event will go towards the American Cancer Society. This weekend is also the third and fourth meetings of the season against the Topeka RoadRunners. The IceRays split their season-opening series in Kansas on Sep. 18 and 20 to begin an eight-game season series for the first time in franchise history. The IceRays hope to gain an edge in the season series for the first time in the past six seasons.
