WALKER, D’ARRISSO PICK UP POINTS IN 7-4 SOUTH DIVISION LOSS

TROY, MI – Beau Walker and Perry D’Arrisso each recorded an assist, however, five goals in the third period propelled the Central Division to a comeback win over the South Division in the second game of the 2012 NAHL Showcase in Troy, Michigan on Monday afternoon.

Former IceRay, and now member of the Odessa Jackalopes, Josh Obregon, scored the first goal of the game on a hopping puck in front of the net to give the South a 1-0 lead 16:26 into the game.

The second period was back-and-forth and the Central started the period tying the game just 1:11 into the middle frame as Brandon Wahlin fired a puck into the net evening the game.

The South came back just 7:57 later to regain the lead as Jack Prince of the Texas Tornado notched the goal with the lone assist going to Nick Neville.

The lead lasted only 64 seconds until Francis DeAugustine once again tied the game up for the Central Division.

Mikko Virtanen put the South back in front with only 12 seconds left in the middle frame assisted by the IceRays’ Beau Walker and Perry D’Arrisso. 

The third period was all Central as they scored five of the six third period goals on route to a 7-4 win over the South Division.  Tomorrow, the South takes on the Midwest at 6:00PM CST. 

Brandon Smith and Anthony Stolarz will be coached by IceRays head coach Justin Quenneville at 6:00PM tonight as the U18 Selects battle the West Division.
