CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Corpus Christi IceRays prepare for their first home weekend of the New Year and only home weekend in January when they take on the Amarillo Bulls this Thursday, Jan. 12 and Friday, Jan. 13 at 7:05 p.m. from the American Bank Center while welcoming in some recently occurring as well as fan favorite promotions.
Thursday’s game kicks off the weekend with another Winning Weekday special. Fans receive one free ticket to the game on Thursday when they purchase one ticket at the American Bank Center Box Office. This promotion is only available for Monday through Thursday games, and there are just four buy-one, get-one ticket games left in the 2016-17 season.
For the first time in one and a half months, the IceRays host a Tride Rideshare Frosty Friday game at home. Fans can enjoy $1 beer and soda throughout the event starting when doors open. As part of the night, fans that use promo code “icerays” on the Tride Passenger app will receive $5 off their rideshare fare to or from the American Bank Center, courtesy of Tride Rideshare. Plus, after the game there will be a Post-Game Skate, presented by Braselton Homes, for fans on a first-come, first-serve basis. Wrist bands are available for $7 at the IceRays Team Store for those needing skate rentals and $5 for fans who bring their own skates.
The IceRays split their lone home weekend against the Amarillo Bulls at the end of November but hold a 3-1-0-0 record head-to-head midway through the season series. The IceRays can not only clinch the season series this weekend but also continue their recent hot streak, amassing points in five-straight games and wins in three-straight including two at home to close the 2016 calendar year. This is the first of two-straight weekends the IceRays and Bulls play to close their eight-game season set.
