CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Corpus Christi IceRays return home from the league holiday break to kick off the second half of the 2016-17 season at the American Bank Center this Wednesday, Dec. 28 and Thursday, Dec. 29 at 7:05 p.m. when they welcome back the Shreveport Mudbugs.
Bring family and friends in the lingering time between Christmas and New Year’s Day to enjoy more of the winter spirit while the temperatures warm. Both games this week are Winning Weekdays, meaning fans can buy one ticket and get a second one free when purchasing at the American Bank Center Box Office. In addition, those that missed the public skate events last week or want an extra dose of skating can do so after each game with the Braselton Homes Post-Game Skate. Cost is $7 with skate rentals and $5 for those with their own skates. Wrist bands are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The IceRays and Mudbugs are in the midst of a four-game set stretching across the holiday break starting in Shreveport on December 18-19. The IceRays took three of four points on the weekend including a 5-1 win on the Saturday, taking momentum and points in three-straight games heading into the holidays. The two teams met at the American Bank Center for the first time on October 27-29, and the IceRays took two of three games including a 3-0 shutout win to kick off the junior franchise series. The mid-week series is also the first of four-straight home games spanning from now through Jan. 13, 2017.
Tickets for both games on Wednesday and Thursday start at just $11 and are available both at the arena box office as well as online at www.Ticketmaster.com.
