The IceRays are back at home this weekend as they are set to host the Shreveport Mudbugs. The games will be the fifth and sixth matchups between the sides this season and the second series at American Bank Center.
Corpus Christi comes into the weekend after splitting a series in Amarillo against the Wranglers. While the Rays fell on Friday, they were able to continue a Saturday-winning streak to five games by a score of 2-1. IceRays goaltender Damon Beaver was able to take home the win on Saturday night against Amarillo. He allowed only one goal in the win, which is the seventh time that IceRays goaltenders have allowed one goal or less this season.
In the season series against the Mudbugs, Shreveport has taken three of the first four games. This includes winning the last three. The IceRays have the advantage over Shreveport in the standings by a point. Last weekend, Wichita Falls took two games in a three game series against the Mudbugs.
