SHREVEPORT, La. – The Corpus Christi IceRays open their 21st season of hockey, and ninth in the North American Hockey League (“NAHL”), Thursday night at the defending NAHL Robertson Cup Champions, the Shreveport Mudbugs. The IceRays announced today the team’s opening night roster, consisting of 25 players from six countries.

New behind the bench this season is head coach Ryan Cruthers, a former professional hockey player who most recently served as head coach of the USHL’s Chicago Steel. Cruthers is joined by returning assistant coach Ryan Anderson, back for his second season with Corpus Christi.

Charlotte, N.C., native Kyle Moore, 20, was named team captain. Coltan Wilkie (Omaha, Neb.) and Trevor Wilhelm (St. Louis, Mo.) will serve as assistant (or alternate) captains.
