ODESSA, Texas – The Corpus Christi IceRays recorded a 2-1 win Sunday to close a three-game weekend against the Odessa Jackalopes at the Ector County Coliseum. Justin Thompson scored his second game-winning goal in as many nights. Jeff Bertrand recorded two points (1+1) for the IceRays (11-9-2-3, 27 pts.). Corpus Christi’s Cal Sandquist stopped 37 of 38 shots faced from the Jackalopes (7-11-1-1, 16 pts.).

Thompson then notched the game-winner at 18:52 off assists from Bertrand and Kyrkostas.

The Jackalopes pulled goaltender Aaron Randazzo late but were unable to tie the game.

Corpus Christi tied a season-high shot total with 46.
