WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS
The IceRays scored a season high 22 goals last weekend in their three game sweep of the Oklahoma Warriors. They also set a season high total of eight goals on Saturday night after a six goal 3rd period. It also featured multiple IceRays ending lengthy goal droughts such as Will Reardon who had not tallied a goal in 18 games until Sunday where he broke out with two goals in a four point night. His fellow line mate Colin Watson snapped a 14 game goal drought on Sunday en route to a three point night.
I’M FROM TEXAS
Newly acquired IceRays Forward Grayson Gerhard made quite the first impression in his first series with Corpus Christi putting up a total of three goals and four points. He scored a pair of goals on Saturday including the Teddy Bear Toss goal in a thrilling high scoring affair at the American Bank Center. Gerhard found a home next to Pierson Sobush and Billy Biedermann. Look for that line to have continued success this upcoming weekend in Odessa.
BEST CAPTIAN
Pierson Sobush extented his point streak to six games after a three point weekend against the Warriors that he capped off with a goal on Sunday afternoon. During that stretch Sobush has accumulated eight points and four goals. His season total of 21 points has him on pace to set a career high after 41 points in 55 games a season ago.
