Corpus Christi IceRays Announce Location for Robertson Cup Play-In Series

Mar 31, 2026

Best-of-Three Series Scheduled for April 10-12 in Shreveport

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi IceRays have announced that their first-round Robertson Cup Play-In Series will be held at George’s Pond at Hirsch Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana against the Shreveport Mudbugs.

Following this weekend’s results in the South Division, it has been confirmed that the IceRays and Mudbugs will meet in the first round of the Robertson Cup Playoffs. The IceRays currently hold a one-point advantage over the Mudbugs heading into the final week of the regular season and hold the fourth spot in the playoff seeding. Depending on this weekend’s results, the IceRays would then hold either the fourth or fifth spot in the seedings. Normally the fourth seeding would have home ice advantage.

Regardless of final seeding, the IceRays will face the Mudbugs in a best-of-three series scheduled for April 10, 11, and 12 (if necessary). All games in the series will be played in Shreveport. Normally the fourth seeding would have home ice advantage, however the IceRays will be playing on the road regardless, due to the Hilliard Center event schedule and that ice will not be available.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to compete in the postseason in our first season as an ownership group,” said IceRays COO & Managing Partner George Manias. “While we would have loved to host playoff games in Corpus Christi and having that home ice advantage, our focus remains on preparing the team to perform at a high level and advance in the playoffs. We are proud of our team, and the future is bright for hockey in South Texas for the long term.”

Game times and additional details will be announced as they become available.
