Trevor Heuser didn’t start off the hockey season the way he had hoped.

The 20-year-old IceRays defenseman sprained his AC joint in September when he dove to knock a puck away. Heuser was able to get back on the ice in the team’s home opener on Oct. 14 and he credited his speedy recovery to the physical trainers at Orthopedic Physical Therapy.

“The first couple of days (after an injury) are always painful,” Heuser said. “But I’ve been in here five days a week. It’s not always easy, but it’s what I need to do to get back on the ice.”

The owner of the clinic knows the IceRays well. Dustin McArthur, now 41, played for the team from 1999-2001. The Canada native said they were some of the best years of his life…
