CAPTAIN BEN HUGHES OUT INJURED FOR REMAINDER OF SEASON

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi IceRays announced today that captain and defenseman Ben Hughes will be out the remainder of the season due to tendon damage in his ankle.

Hughes, 19, played in 32 games for the team amassing six goals and nine assists for 15 points.  He has not played since December 18th, missing the last 15 games.

He still has one year of junior eligibility remaining and could return to Corpus Christi next season.

The IceRays return to the ice on February 25th in Amarillo.
