IceRays Strengthen Leadership Team with Experienced Sports Executive
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi IceRays of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that entrepreneur, investor, and professional sports executive Charles Norris has joined the organization’s Management Group, further strengthening the club’s leadership as it continues its commitment to excellence on and off the ice.
Norris brings extensive experience in business operations, real estate development, and professional hockey ownership & Management. Throughout his career, he has developed more than 300 residential homes, managed multi-million-dollar businesses, and successfully led organizations across both the sports and real estate industries.
As the owner of multiple professional hockey franchises, including the Fayetteville Marksmen and Macon Mayhem of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), Norris has earned a reputation for driving organizational growth, operational excellence, and fostering strong connections within the communities his teams serve. His leadership philosophy is rooted in building winning cultures, developing talent, creating exceptional fan experiences, and positioning organizations for sustained long-term success.

A U.S. Army veteran, Norris is deeply committed to advancing the game of hockey and creating meaningful opportunities for young athletes. He believes junior hockey plays a vital role in developing not only elite players but also future leaders by instilling discipline, teamwork, accountability, and character.
Norris resides near Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, Lanai, and their three children. He continues to pursue strategic investments while remaining dedicated to growing the sport of hockey and creating lasting, positive impacts in the communities his organizations serve.
