STILL ON TOP

The IceRays accumulated 17 points in their first 10 games of the season holding them a top of the South Division despite the efforts of the defending champions to close the gap last weekend. Lone Star is three points behind Corpus Christi with a game in hand while Amarillo sits a point behind Lone Star in 3rd place. At this point in the season El Paso, Shreveport and Oklahoma round out your top six. The IceRays have not made the postseason since the 2019-20 season, with continued success they can bring an end to that streak after a tremendous start this year.

VOLSKY VACUUM

Goaltender Nikita Volsky has been nothing short of dominant for the IceRays in net this season. Already with eight starts under his belt, Volsky has only allowed more than two goals once this season which resulted in his lone loss of the campaign so far. Since that loss Nikita is on a five game win streak including a 27 save shutout against Springfield at the NAHL Showcase. Volsky’s 1.49 goals against average ranks 5th while his 0.954 save percentage is 2nd best in the entire NAHL.

KUZZY

Coming off an incredible home opening weekend against New Mexico, Forward Stepan Kuznetsov has a team high 14 points currently placing him 5th among scoring in the NAHL. Kuznetsov has played in all 10 games this season and has registered a point in every game except one. His eight game point streak includes 12 points and five goals during that span. In the series against the Ice Wolves, he registered three multi point nights and a goal in each game to help lead the sweep.
