Corpus Christi IceRays claim first victory of the season in game four of the NAHL Showcase

Blaine, Minnesota – The Corpus Christi IceRays win their first game of the season in the four game at the North American Hockey League Showcase resulting in a score of 3-2 on Saturday, September 17th against the Johnstown Tomahawks at the Schwan Super Rink.

First Period Action

The IceRays start the game with goaltender #1 Stefan Carney, while the Tomahawk’s start with #30 Dominik Wasik in net.

First penalty of the game went to Tomahawk’s #21 Zachary Stoner  on a Kneeing 2min minor at 4:53. Next penalty was given to IceRays’ #5 Kiernan Gately for Interference on a 2min minor at 09:19.

Corpus gets on the board first with an unassisted goal by #16 Stepan Kuznetsov at the 13:45 mark.

The Corpus Christi IceRays come right back and answer with a quick goal, taking back the lead at 17:42. The game winning goal was unassisted and scored by #24 Hans Martin Ulvebne.

#19 Michael Casey  takes a Tripping 2min minor penalty at 18:51.
