CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi IceRays are proud to announce the tender signing of defenseman Gavin Gleghorn for the 2026-27 season.
Gleghorn, a native of Tuckerton, New Jersey, is a left-shot defenseman who has earned a reputation as a smart, mobile blueliner with strong puck-moving ability and offensive instincts from the back end. The 2008-born defenseman has developed through the Maine Nordiques organization and has competed at both the AAA and junior levels.
Gleghorn gained valuable junior hockey exposure with the Nordiques of the NA3HL last season. Competing against older and more experienced players, the blue liner collected nine goals and 23 assists in 45 games. His experience at the junior level showcased both his maturity and readiness to take the next step in his hockey career.
In the prior seasons, Gleghorn skated for the Maine Nordiques 16U AAA program, where he continued to establish himself as a reliable two-way defenseman capable of contributing in all situations. His skating ability, vision, and hockey IQ have made him an effective presence on the blue line and a player with significant upside as he continues his development.
