Veteran Blue Liner Brings 56 Games of NAHL Experience
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi IceRays are proud to announce the tendering of defenseman Liam McGuern for the upcoming season.
Hailing from Alta Loma, California, McGuern brings veteran experience and leadership to the IceRays blue line, including two playoff appearances during his career with the Maine Nordiques. Over two seasons, McGuern appeared in 56 games with the Nordiques, continuing to establish himself as a reliable and dependable presence on the back end.
Standing at 6-foot-3, the mobile defenseman is known for his steady, mistake-free style of play and ability to make an impact in all three zones. McGuern’s size, skating ability, and composure with the puck make him an exciting addition to the IceRays roster as the team continues to build for the season ahead.
“Liam was a must-get for us,” said IceRays coach Nick. “His character, demeanor, work ethic, skating, and frame are nothing short of what can be best-in-class in this league.”
McGuern is expected to make an immediate impact on the IceRays defensive core both on and off the ice.
