Corpus Christi IceRays To Face Jackalopes Friday And Saturday In Odessa

Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi IceRays open up a stretch of six-straight games on the road when they take on the Odesa Jackalopes Friday and Saturday at 7:15 p.m. CDT at the Ector County Coliseum.

Corpus Christi is 2-6-0, 0SOL in its last eight games, 3-11-0, 0SOL in its last 14 contests and 7-14-0, 1SOL in its last 22 games.

Overall, the IceRays are 16-31-2, 3SOL for 37 points, in eighth place in the NAHL South Division, 12 points behind the Odessa Jackalopes for seventh, and 18 points behind the Oklahoma Warriors for sixth.

Odessa is 21-24-5, 2SOL for 49 points, in seventh place, seven points behind the Oklahoma Warriors.

It’s nice to play a team we haven’t seen since the Christmas holidays,” IceRays Head Coach Sylvain Cloutier said. “They’re fighting for their playoff life, so it should be some pretty intense games.”

The IceRays are 2-2 against the Jackalopes this season in head-to-head action.

Pierson Sobush is the leader for Corpus Christi with 36 points on 16 goals and 19 assists.

Stepan Kuznetsov had 25 points (15 goals and 10 assists).

Cameron Dunn leads Odessa with 20 points and 28 assists for 48 points.

Michael Kadlecik has collected 15 goals and 32 points for 47 points.

The IceRays will be on the road for three weekend series, beginning with games against the Odessa Jackalopes Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 at 7:15 p.m. CDT.
