Nov 16, 2012

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Fairbanks IceDogs added an empty net goal late in regulation to seal a 3-1 victory in front of 4,711 fans inside the American Bank Center on Stars & Stripes Night.

The scoring started 10:09 into the game while the IceRays were a man up.  AJ Jarosz took a pass from the left wins circle and buried it top shelf over the shoulder of Kevin Aldridge for his 4th of the year and a 1-0 IceRays lead.

Fairbanks stormed back in the second period with two goals of their own.  Ben Campbell took a drop pass from Jayson Angus in the left circle and wired it top shelf on Hayden Stewart to even the score up at the 5:33 point of the period.

After a Roman Uchyn minor penalty, Fairbanks took the lead for good after the original shot was handled by Stewart, it snuck behind him and was tapped in by Devin Loe for a 2-1 lead with 4:34 left in the second.

Then, late in regulation, Kyle Lee added an empty net goal to secure a 3-1 victory.

Hayden Stewart stopped 27 of 29 shots he faced.
