TONIGHT’S GAME …Tonight, the IceRays play their third game in four days on the road as they battle league’s best, the Amarillo Bulls. Corpus Christi is coming off a shootout loss to Wichita Falls, who now sits only four points behind the IceRays for the final playoff spot in the South Division. On Wednesday night, the Rays’ lost 4-3 and were unable to find the back of the net in a shootout while Hayden Stewart stopped all but one Wildcat attempt. Last time Corpus Christi visited Amarillo, they came out with a weekend split losing the first, and winning the second. The IceRays are banged up and will need scoring from unlikely sources.
THE SERIES…Tonight’s game is the 5th meeting between the IceRays and Bulls this season.
– Season series: Tied 2-2
KEY INJURIES… The IceRays come into Amarillo banged up as Perry D’Arrisso and AJ Jarosz are out tonight. Initial x-rays show a small fracture in the ankle of D’Arrisso but he will be re-evaluated when the team returns to Corpus Christi. Jarosz is suffering from a lower body injury.
GOT HIS FIRST… Grant Hutton was inserted into the lineup on Wednesday and recorded his first NAHL goal of his career on a deflection in front of the net.
PLAYOFF RACE…Corpus Christi is now just 4pts in front of Wichita Falls after losing to the Wildcats on Tuesday night 1-0 and in a shootout Wednesday 4-3.
