TONIGHT’S GAME …Corpus Christi returns home after an eight game road trip where the IceRays went 3-4-1 with wins over Amarillo and Topeka.  Tonight, the Odessa Jackalopes come to town for the second series this season a day after trading away Lawrence Cornellier to Fairbanks in exchange for tenders and draft picks.  Corpus Christi enters tonight coming off a weekend split in Topeka that kept the Rays’ three point ahead of Wichita Falls who hosts Amarillo this upcoming weekend.

THE SERIES…Tonight’s game is the 7th meeting between the IceRays and Jackalopes this season.

ALASKA TO TEXAS…Corpus Christi acquired forward Ryan McNeely from Fairbanks last week.  He scored in his first game with the IceRays in last Friday’s 3-2 shootout win over Topeka.   

CORNELLIER TO FAIRBANKS…  Odessa captain and leading scorer Lawrence Cornellier was traded to the Fairbanks IceDogs in exchange for tenders and draft picks.  Fairbanks will make the 2012-13 NAHL Playoffs in the West Division.

PERFECT…  Charles Baldwin scored in his second straight shootout last Friday in Topeka using an almost identical move that he pulled in Amarillo when the IceRays took out the Bulls. 

KEY INJURIES… The IceRays remain without Perry D’Arrisso and Trevor Heuser for tonight’s game.   

NEW FACE…  Corpus Christi added forward Nick Monfils to the roster this weekend.  In 23 games played, Monfils scored 41 goals and added 35 assists with the Oshkosh Ice Hawks of Wisconsin Prep Hockey.

PLAYOFF RACE…With a Wichita Falls three game sweep last weekend over Odessa and a Corpus Christi split in Topeka, the Rays’ are now 3pts in front of the Wildcats.
