GARBUTT ON NHL ICE TONIGHT

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Former IceRay standout Ryan Garbutt is scheduled to play in an NHL exhibition game tonight for the Dallas Stars. 

Garbutt, who played for the IceRays in the 2009-2010 season, when the Rays were in the Central Hockey League, recorded 22 goals and 28 assists.  This past year, Garbutt play for the Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League and notched 19 goals and 18 assists. 

“It was a matter of time before we saw Ryan play in the NHL,” said general manager Pat Dunn.  “We are truly lucky to have been able to watch Ryan for a whole year in Corpus Christi; we wish him the best of luck and are all very proud of him.  It’s well deserved for such a hard working individual.”

Garbutt will play on the fourth line for the Stars tonight as they take on the Colorado Avalanche at the American Airlines Center. 

Corpus Christi returns to the American Bank Center tomorrow night as they host the Odessa Jackalopes in the home opener at 7:05PM!
