CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – Hit the links with the Corpus Christi IceRays for the IceRays Annual Golf Tournament, presented by Andrews Distributing and Coors Light, on Monday, March 27 at 1:00 p.m. from the Northshore Country Club in Portland, Texas. The event is a way to bring together the Corpus Christi community and the IceRays for an afternoon of networking and fun while also benefitting St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Those looking to participate can create a team, join another party, or play with the IceRays themselves through 18 holes of golf at one of the area’s premier courses. The tournament is a best ball, four person scramble format, meaning the farthest shot by a team member is the placement for the next shot for all group members, the maximum shot cap is a single bogey, or one over par, and teams will be assigned a hole to start on. All are welcome to participate, no matter the skill level. The IceRays welcome novice golfers ranging to the most experienced.

Following the outing will be a post-tournament reception with a meal and refreshments provided as well as a chance to receive prizes donated by area sponsors. All participants are automatically entered into a drawing for door prizes, which will be awarded at the reception. Special prizes could also be awarded for specific hole designations. The reception is also a chance to mingle with area business owners and representatives as well as the IceRays players and staff.

Registration remains open on a first-come, first-serve limited bases at $100 for individuals looking to join a team or $375 for a group of four. Those that cannot attend the event but still want to get involved are encouraged to sponsor a hole for $125 per hole, and your designated signage will be displayed at the tee box of that respective hole. Additionally, mulligans can be purchased for just $10. For registration or sponsorship information including available holes, contact the IceRays Front Office at 361-814-PUCK.

The IceRays continue their three-game set against the Wildcats tonight at 7:05 p.m. from the Kay Yeager Coliseum. The IceRays return to the American Bank Center on Wednesday, Mar. 15 for a single-game meeting with the Shreveport Mudbugs.
