ICERAYS ADD BRYANT AND MEEKHOF TO TRAINING CAMP ROSTER

The Corpus Christi IceRays of the North American Hockey League added forward Stevie Bryant and defenseman Colton Meekhof, the team announced on Wednesday. The two skaters have joined the team and are skating in training camp this week.

Bryant, 17, appeared in 49 games last season with the Wenatchee Wild in the NAHL, recording eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points with 18 penalty minutes and a -9 rating. In his rookie season, the 5-foot-9, 170-pound forward out of Edmonds, Wash., played four games against the IceRays, earning one goal on Oct. 3, 2014 in a 3-2 loss in Corpus Christi. Prior to his time in the NAHL, Bryant played the 2013-14 season with the Arizona Bobcats U16 of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL).

Meekhof, 19, appeared in 29 games with the Cleveland Barons U18 of the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League (T1EHL) during the 2014-15 season, recording seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points with 43 penalty minutes. Prior to this, the 5-foot-11, 194-pound native of Seattle, Wash., appeared in 41 games in 2012-13 with the Las Vegas Storm U16 of the T1EHL, recording six goals and eight assists for 14 points with 52 penalty minutes.

Both skaters appeared in the Wenatchee Wild training camp for the new British Colombia Hockey League (BCHL) franchise. The IceRays are now listed with 24 players at the end of the first week of training camp, one skater under the league maximum. Bryant will wear #18. Meekhof will wear #22.
