ICERAYS ADD ZACH HOLSTROM

Dec 5, 2011

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi IceRays are excited to announce the addition of forward Zach Holstrom to the roster.

Holstrom, the leading scorer for the LA Kings MM, was the IceRays third round draft pick, 62nd overall, in the 2011-2012 NAHL Entry Draft.

“We are excited for Zach's arrival and it couldn’t come a better time with injuries and additional offensive output,” said Justin Quenneville.  “We were fortunate to have Zach visit and skate with the team here last season and he was immediately noticeable for his quick hands and skill.”

Holstrom is 5’8’’ 155lbs, but Quenneville says his skill makes him a much bigger presence.  “He may be small at 5’8’’, but he plays much bigger and adds a good mixture of offense, grit and hockey IQ that any team can use.”

The IceRays are on the road this Friday and Saturday night, and return home Sunday Afternoon to face Texas.  Puck drops at 7:05PM Friday and Saturday night, and 3:05PM on Sunday afternoon, coverage begins 15 minutes prior to the puck drop with the IceRays Pregame Show on ESPN Radio 1440AM.
