Jan 12, 2012

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Zachary Lindsay scored twice in the third period, and Anthony Stolarz stopped all 40 shots he faced as the IceRays completed the series sweep over the Odessa Jackalopes 3-0 in front of 2,904 fans inside the American Bank Center.

Just like last night’s game, there was no scoring in the first period.

Beau Walker took a one timer off an AJ Jarosz pass and beat Odessa goaltender Connor Hellebuyck on the power-play 7:33 into the second period to give the IceRays a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes of play.

The third period started off the right way for Corpus Christi as Zachary Lindsay scored just 0:14 seconds into the period increasing the lead for the IceRays 2-0.

Lindsay struck again for his second goal of the game 14:17 into the final period of action to give the IceRays a 3-0 lead.

Anthony Stolarz was brilliant tonight as he stopped all 40 shots he faced from the Jackalopes.
