HISTORY IN THE MAKING
The Corpus Christi IceRays clinched a playoff berth for the first time since the 2018-19 season following a 5-4 victory Sunday afternoon over the Odessa Jackalopes. The IceRays have won 31 games this season which is a 12-game improvement from last season with 10 games remaining. In his third season behind the bench for the IceRays, Head Coach Sylvain Cloutier is leading his team to one of the best seasons in franchise history. Since joining the NAHL in 2010-11, his team became the third club to reach 30 wins in a season and is now two wins away from winning the most games in a single season in the organization’s history.
KRANK IT UP
IceRays Forward Carter Krenke holds the teams longest active point streak at seven games after picking up an assist on Sunday. Krenke started the streak with a goal on February 6 against the Ice Wolves and rattled off another three games in a row with a goal for good measure. During this stretch he’s accumulated 10 points and six goals catapulting himself to fifth on the team with 34 points. The longest point streak this season on the club is head by Pierson Sobush who had a nine game point streak spanning from November 22 to December 27.
