Corpus Christi, Texas – The Corpus Christi IceRays fall short at the American Bank Center on Saturday, November 12th against the Amarillo Wranglers.

The amarillo wranglers overcame a 2-1 defecit with 3 unanswered goals to defeat the corpus christi icerays 4-2 tonight at the american bank center in downtown corpus christi.
Preston brighton and jack mcdonald contribued power play goals while tommy chunchukov scored the game winner as amarillo split the two game series with the ice rays
Stepan kuznetsov opened the scoring in the first period for the icerays for a 1-0 lead but pierce patterson tied the game for amarillo .
In the second period peteris purmalis gave corpus christi a 2-1 lead but after that the momentum changed in the favor of amarillo as they continued to control the tempo of the game.
The wranglers outshot the icerays 16 to 4 in the third period and 39-28 overall to escape with the win
It was a physical game with gage parillo and tommy chunchukov each receiving 5 minute majors and 10 minute misconduct penalties in the first period for fighting.
2550 fans witnessed the game . The next set of games for the icerays will be against new mexico next weekend in albuquerque and then they return home the day after thanksgiving to open a weekend series against the icewolves.

The IceRays next game is Friday, November 11, 2022 at the American Bank Center Puck drops at 7:05 PM CDT against the Amarillo Wranglers. It is the IceRays annual Stars & Stripes Night. All present and former military/first responders get in FREE with a valid ID. They also receive a $2 hot dog if they show their ID as well.
