Miceli Appeared in 34 Games for Corpus Christi Posting a 2.95 GAA
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — The Corpus Christi IceRays are proud to announce that goaltender Xander Miceli has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Wisconsin, joining one of the premier NCAA Division I hockey programs in the nation.
Miceli’s commitment marks a major milestone in his development and reflects the hard work and dedication he has displayed throughout his time with the IceRays organization. Known for his composure in net, elite compete level, and consistency between the pipes, Miceli has been a key contributor to the team’s success.
“Xander has earned this opportunity through his commitment to improving every single day,” said IceRays Assistant Coach Ryan Gil. “Wisconsin is getting a tremendous goaltender and an even better person. We’re incredibly proud of him and excited to watch him take the next step in his hockey career.”
During the 2025-26 season, Miceli appeared in 34 games for Corpus Christi, posting a .900 save percentage along with a 2.95 goals-against average. His steady play and ability to make key saves in critical moments helped anchor the IceRays throughout the season and solidified his reputation as one of the league’s top goaltenders.

The Nashville, Tennessee, native will join a Wisconsin program that continues to compete at the highest level of college hockey, with the Badgers recently competing in the NCAA National Championship game and reaffirming their status as one of the sport’s elite programs. The opportunity to develop within a championship-caliber environment made Wisconsin an ideal fit for the IceRays netminder.
The IceRays organization has consistently helped players advance to collegiate and professional hockey, continuing its tradition of developing high-level talent both on and off the ice.
