The IceRays will host their third annual Heart Night, benefiting the American Heart Association, when they finish their weekend series with the Amarillo Bulls at the American Bank Center on Saturday, February 24th. This year’s Heart Night is presented by AEP, Autonation Ford, H-E-B and Physicians Premier.

As part of Heart Month, the IceRays are doing their part to help raise funds and awareness for heart health and healthy living. The team will be wearing specialty heart-themed jerseys all weekend, which will be auctioned to the public immediately following Saturday night’s game in Section 112. There will also be a silent auction table on the concourse. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Heart Association of Corpus Christi.

“We really value our relationship with the Corpus Christi IceRays,” said Brittany Sandbach, Corporate Market Director at the American Heart Association of Corpus Christi. “We’re excited to spread the message about heart disease again this year at the third annual Heart Night game.”

The American Heart Association of Corpus Christi builds healthier lives throughout the Coastal Bend and makes the community healthier by advocating for key health issues. As a whole, the organization trains millions of Americans each year in CPR and first aid, and educates healthcare providers every day.

Between heart walks, 50/50 raffles, silent auctions and jersey auctions, the IceRays have risen approximately $23,000 over the last two years for the American Heart Association of Corpus Christi. The IceRays are proud to continue their partnership in their 20th anniversary season, and hope to raise even more this season with the goal of making the Coastal Bend a healthier place.

The IceRays would also like to extend their gratitude to AEP Texas, Autonation Ford, H-E-B and Physicians Premier for sponsoring Heart Night this season.

Puck drop against Amarillo will be the standard 7:05 pm CT on Friday night, but will be 7:45 pm CT at the earliest on Heart Night due to an Islanders basketball game. Friday is a Frosty Friday, with three dollar pints and small sodas available throughout the night. Saturday is a family four-pack night; four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas can be purchased for just $48. Amarillo is ten points behind the IceRays in the South Division playoff race, and the Rays can all but secure a berth in the postseason should they sweep the Bulls this weekend.
