Corpus Christi, Texas – Fresh off a bye week, the Corpus Christi IceRays open a weekend series at home against the Oklahoma Warriors Friday and Saturday night at 7:05 at the American Bank Center.

The IceRays are looking to snap a two-game skid after losses at home to the Lone Star Brahmas, 6-0 October 28 and 5-3 October 27.

“It was nice to get away and come back fresh,” IceRays head coach Sylvain Cloutier said.

Corpus Christi is 5-9-1, 1SOL for 12 points and in ninth place in the NAHL South Division.

Oklahoma is 9-4-3, 1SOL for 22 points and in fourth in the division.

It’ll be the third and fourth meetings of the season between the two teams. Oklahoma swept the two-game series at the American Bank Center with a 5-1 win on October 6, and a 6-2 victory on October 7.

“It’s the two most important games of the season,” Cloutier said. “We need to get points and stay close to everyone until we get healthy.”

Pierson Sobush leads Corpus Christi with 15 points (six goals and nine assists).

Anthony Cafarelli is the IceRays leading goal scorer with eight goals and is second on the team with 14 points.

Drew Sutton leads Oklahoma with 11 goals to go along with 10 assists for 21 points.

Kaden Nelson has 19 points and eight goals and 11 assists.

Corpus Christi IceRays To Host 16th-Annual Stars & Stripes Night

FRIDAY NIGHT IS A SPECIAL NIGHT: The IceRays will host their annual Stars & Stripes Night on Friday to honor military veterans and first responders.

It’s the 16th season that the IceRays have hosted Stars & Stripes Night. The event began during the 2008-09 season.

Stars & Stripes Night is presented by Atomic Omelette and IBEW Local 278.
The players will be wearing camouflage jerseys, and we will be holding a live jersey auction following the game on Friday.

We will be having an introduction ceremony with the presentation of first responder vehicles on the ice along with the presentation of the colors.

Forward Will Reardon Joins Icerays.

PLAYER MOVE: The IceRays have acquired forward Will Reardon from the Northeast Generals of the NAHL East Division.

In 14 games with the Northeast Generals this season, Reardon scored four goals and added three assists for seven points.

“We mad the trade for Will to add a player that can play a 200-foot game,” Cloutier said. “He’s got a scoring touch and should be a nice addition to our group.”

Reardon played with The Loomis Chaffee School for three seasons starting in the 2020-21 campaign.

In 26 games last season, Reardon collected nine goals and eight assists.

He also scored nine goals and added 12 assists with the Yale Jr. Bulldogs last year.

After spending most of his life on the East Coast, Reardon is excited to become a part of the IceRays and the community.

“I’m really excited because I’ve primarily been in the northeast and ready to get down to warmer weather and play hockey at a new location,” Reardon said. “I was shocked because it was half-way across the country.”

Reardon is looking forward to playing in front of an incredible fan base.

I’m Excited to meet my new teammates and a new coaching staff and upgrade my pallet to learn how to improve as a new player and a person,” Reardon said. “I’m Excited to play in front of the fans. I haven’t played in front of these many fans before.”
