After a low-shooting first period with only a combined 10 shots, the Brahmas power play cashed in on their first three opportunities presented. On the game’s first penalty, Brahmas forward Hunter Stanley earned a centering pass from forward Carson Kelley in front of the net and chipped it through the legs of netminder Tomáš Vomáčka at 1:52 to earn a 1-0 lead. Less than a minute later at 13:19, Brahmas forward Troy York scored on a breakaway from a long pass by defenseman Simon Loof to triple the lead, 3-0.

At the start of the third period, Vomáčka was pulled in favor of Camden Burggrabe. The IceRays comeback efforts were shut down in the third period in the neutral zone while being outshot 9-5, leading to the Brahmas 3-0 win and the first shutout of the IceRays this season.
