The IceRays are proud to announce that Kiernan Gately has tendered for the 2022-23 season. Gately appeared in one game for Corpus Christi as an affiliated player in December.
IceRays head coach Mike Lysyj had the following to say about Gately signing his tender, “We had (Gately) down for us. I loved his compete. I loved his battle.” Lysyj would go on to say, “He’s just that good skating, puck moving, mobile defenseman. Hopefully, when we get him full-time next year, he’ll be a go to guy either on the power play or someone who could provide some offense for us five on five.”
Gately, a defenseman Rochester, New York, has spent this season with the Buffalo Regals 18U AAA team. He has recorded five assists in fifteen games played with Buffalo. Gately is committed to play collegiate hockey at St. Lawrence University.
