Corpus Christi, TX (Jan. 18, 2023) – The IceRays announced Joe Benson as the new play-by-play broadcaster who fills a void that was left earlier in the season.
“I am extremely grateful and excited about the opportunity to join this storied organization and to bring this season’s stories to life for IceRays fans on HockeyTV and Brewster Street Radio,” said Benson. “The feeling you get when you walk into the American Bank Center is unmatched in junior hockey.”
Benson comes to Corpus Christi as a native of Andover, MA. He most recently served as a play-by-play broadcaster for college and junior hockey in New England.
“I am excited to have a caliber guy like Joe on board with us. He will not only bring professionalism to our hockey broadcast, but he will also bring a wealth of sales knowledge to our sales department. I can’t wait for him to get started,” said IceRays President, Cassidy Lange.
