NAHL EXPANDS SCHEDULE, ADDS ADDITIONAL HOME GAME FOR ICERAYS

May 31, 2011

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX-   Corpus Christi IceRays General Manager Pat Dunn announced today that the North American Hockey League has expanded its schedule for member teams to 60 games next season.  The additional one home game has adjusted the season ticket prices for the 2011-12 season.  However, the ticket price per game has remained the same and the 16-game and 8-game packages are unchanged.

Full season packages for the entire 28-game home slate now range in price from $259 in the bronze section to $622 in the platinum section.  All season ticket packages include free reserved parking, discounts on concessions and merchandise, and exclusive events with players, coaches, and staff.

For every new season ticket holder referred to the IceRays by a current season ticket holder, the team will give a $25.00 discount to the existing season ticket holder’s account.

In addition to the adjusted season ticket prices, the team also announced that they will change bench locations for the 2011-12 season which will reverse the direction of the IceRays’ attacking zone.  Corpus Christi will now shoot twice towards the Zamboni end of the horseshoe (in the first and third periods) and once towards the closed end of the horseshoe (in the second period).

“The price per game has not changed and we’re happy that our fans will get to see another game at the American Bank Center next season,” said Dunn.  “With regards to the bench change, USA Hockey said for teams to be closer to their locker rooms and we’re following their rules.”

The IceRays will announce game dates, opponents, and a full schedule in the coming weeks.  Every NAHL team will open the season in Blaine, MN at the NAHL Showcase in Mid-September.
