The Corpus Christi IceRays erased an early three-goal deficit and took a lead midway through the second period, but a Sean Keane hat trick was too much to overcome as the Wichita Falls Wildcats skated away from the American Bank Center with an 8-4 victory on Saturday night.

After spending the first seven games of their inaugural season on the road, the Corpus Christi IceRays returned home to best the previously undefeated Wichita Falls Wildcats, 4-3, in a shootout with 3,004 fans in attendance at the American Bank Center Friday night.rn

Another great day for the Corpus Christi IceRays today in Blaine Minnesota at the Showcase Tournament as they won their second game in the NAHL 5-1 against Owatonna Express.

It was a great day for the IceRays today in Blaine Minnesota at the Showcase Tournament as they won their first game in the NAHL league 5-4 against the Chicago Hitmen.

IceRays departed for Blaine, Minnesota last Friday to compete in the Showcase tournament along with the other 25 NAHL Hockey teams. The Showcase tournament is a huge event in Blaine where scouts from the NCAA and NHL travel from all over North America to view the talent from all the featured teams. The IceRays played their first game in the NAHL league this morning against the 2009-2010 Robertson Cup Finalist Traverse City North Stars.

Josh Bogorad, the Voice of the IceRays since 2003, has taken a job as the new Play-by-Play Broadcaster and Director of Media Relations for the Alaska Aces of the ECHL, IceRays General Manager, Pat Dunn announced on Tuesday. Bogorad will head to Anchorage immediately to begin the 2010-2011 season in October. The IceRays search for a new broadcaster for the upcoming season has already begun. The Corpus Christi IceRays home-venue training camp opens at the American Bank Center in the first week of September, and 28 players have been invited to attend, IceRays General Manager, Pat Dunn announced on Friday. The IceRays can still add to their list of invitees, but NAHL rules mandate the IceRays roster be no larger than 25 players by opening day on September 15th, and no more than 23 players by October 1st. Earlier this week the Corpus Christi IceRays received a check for over $15,000 in unclaimed property from the State of Texas, IceRays General Manager Pat Dunn announced on Friday. Searching the website www.claimittexas.org , Dunn found unclaimed property payable to the IceRays and received a check from the hands of the State Comptroller on Tuesday afternoon at a reception at the Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce offices. Former Corpus Christi IceRays forward Ryan Bennett has officially retired from professional hockey, and will join the IceRays as the club’s new Director of Scouting, General Manager, Pat Dunn announced on Tuesday. The Corpus Christi IceRays have trimmed their roster to 22 players, and are still active in adding to their club following their inaugural training camp last weekend, General Manager Pat Dunn announced on Thursday. Last Friday – Sunday in North Texas, the IceRays held their first ever NAHL Training Camp, as the club prepares for their first season in a new league. 22 players made the cut, and will now join new additions over the next month before convening in Corpus Christi at the end of August for a final camp. The Corpus Christi IceRays began their NAHL Training Camp at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Valley Ranch in Irving, Texas on Friday morning. 80 players from throughout North America, and one European player are trying to make the inaugural IceRays NAHL squad.
