BLAINE, MINN. – Forward Brad Power recorded the final three goals for the home side including the game-winner as the Corpus Christi IceRays (2-2-0-1) edged the Minnesota Magicians (2-1-1-0) in overtime, 4-3, on Thursday morning on Day Two of the NAHL Showcase from Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn.

The IceRays jumped out to an early lead for the second-straight day thanks to forward Mason Krueger, who slotted in a pass from forward Josh Tripp at 1:51 to take the early 1-0 lead. On their first power play of the day, the IceRays cashed in with Power finishing a pass down low from forward Cole Gammer at 13:24 to double the lead, 2-0, on his first of the day.

The Magicians came back in the second period within one, 2-1, at 15:07 when forward Nathan Nelsen earned his own turnover and flipped a shot top shelf. In the third, the Magicians finally drew even, 2-2, when forward Nikita Kozyrev finished on a play in low toward the crease at 6:11. The IceRays came back to answer at 10:54 when Power found his second on a rebound off a Andrew Froese shot to take back the lead, 3-2. Magicians forward Tanner Tweten evened the scoreline up, 3-3, at 13:39 with a second chance shot from in front of the net to send the game into overtime. In the extra period, Krueger forced a turnover in the offensive end and found Power, who was waiting in the slot and ripped a wrist shot glove side at 1:51 to not only seal the 4-3 overtime win but also his first career NAHL hat-trick.

IceRays netminder Tomáš Vomáčka (2-2-1) earned the win, turning away 35 of 38 shots faced, while Magicians goaltender David Fessenden (1-1-0) halted 32 of 36 shots.
