Projected Lineup (1/28 vs. Amarillo)

Jan 28, 2022

The IceRays look to continue their two game winning streak as they hit home ice to face off against the Amarillo Wranglers.  The Rays will keep the first two units of forwards together as combined, they scored all but two of the ten Corpus Christi goals last weekend.

The bottom six is where the mixing and matching starts for the IceRays as Elias is reinserted into the lineup centering Nekhamiyev and Butler.  Elias was not in the lineup for the game on Saturday against El Paso.  Nekhamiyev did make his return on Saturday night to the Corpus Christi lineup.  Although he was unable to find the back of the net, he made an impact on the game.

The fourth line for Corpus Christi includes Zach Dill, Colby Seitz, and Cole Helm.  Seitz scored the game winning goal on Saturday night and finds himself in the center role for the first time in a while for Corpus Christi.

On the back end, two right handed defensemen make their return for Corpus Christi.  The leader among defensemen in points for Corpus Christi is lined up as the extra defenseman tonight.  Rourke returns to the Rays after a three game stint in the USHL for Des Moines.  Only missing two games is nothing compared to the break from one game to another for Casper Gillberg.  Gillberg returns after just over two months away from the team.

In net, the Rays go back to the hot hand in Stefan Carney.  Carney is looking to continue his winning ways after recording a .939 save percentage against El Paso.
