Projected Lineup (2/25 vs. Shreveport)

Feb 25, 2022

The IceRays hit the ice this evening for the first of a two game set with the Mudbugs.  Some units stay the same from last weekend’s win on Saturday night against Amarillo.  There is also an IceRay debut projected for Friday night.

With the first line of offense staying the same, the IceRays have some shake ups on line two with Dylan Contreras moving to center.  Contreras has primarily played the wing this season, but his unit this evening is primed to create some offense with Crolley and Zagrzebski on his wings.

Charlie Merkley will center Juraj Elias and Colby Seitz, which projects to be a line to grit down the Mudbugs. The IceRays coaching staff is still holding tryouts it seems to take Cole Helm’s spot on the Merkley and Seitz line.

The fourth line is where the IceRay debut occurs with Hans Ulvebne in the lineup for the first time with Corpus Christi.  Ulvebne comes to the Rays as an affiliate.  He tendered back in December and projects to be a full-time member of the IceRays next season.

On the back end, Brady Carlock has a new defensive partner in Dom Foglia at his right side with Casper Gillberg out of the lineup this evening.  The second and third pairs have played alongside one another frequently as of late.  Emerson Miller is the extra skater tonight for Corpus Christi.

Stefan Carney will make his first start in four games on Friday night.  Damon Beaver led the way last weekend for Corpus Christi, but Carney did get just over ten minutes of action on Friday night in Amarillo as Beaver was pulled.
